Carmela's artistic journey has been shaped by the whimsical styles of Sir John Tenniel and E. H. Shepard, ultimately leading her to the enchanting world of Beatrix Potter's watercolor art. Specializing in children's book illustrations, her work captures the innocence and charm of storytelling in every stroke. With a growing passion for pastels and charcoal, Carmela's versatile skills now extend to creating stunning commissioned portraits that truly capture the essence of her subjects.
Carmela is an active member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, (SCBWI) and the Santa Clarita Artists Association.
She is passionate about providing equity and access to art education and development in historically underserved communities and
